DLT 2015

DLT 2016 will be held in Montreal, Canada.

The 19th International Conference on Developments in Language Theory (DLT 2015) will take place in Liverpool, UK on July 27-30, 2015. The conference is organised by the Liverpool University Department of Computer Science in cooperation with the European Association for Theoretical Computer Science (EATCS).

DLT 2015 will be hosted at the Crowne Plaza Liverpool City Centre . The Crowne Plaza Liverpool Hotel is magnificently situated in the heart of the city centre, sitting adjacent to the iconic Royal Liver Building with stunning views of the River Mersey and in close proximity to a host of major attractions in Liverpool.

The purpose of this series of conferences is to bring together members of the academic, research, and industrial community who have an interest in formal languages, automata theory, and related areas.

Typical topics include, but are not limited to:

  • grammars, acceptors and transducers for words, trees and graphs;
  • algebraic theories of automata;
  • algorithmic, combinatorial and algebraic properties of words and languages;
  • variable length codes;
  • symbolic dynamics;
  • cellular automata;
  • polyominoes and multidimensional patterns;
  • decidability questions;
  • image manipulation and compression;
  • efficient text algorithms;
  • relationships to cryptography, concurrency, complexity theory and logic;
  • bio-inspired computing;
  • quantum computing

Extended versions of selected papers from the proceedings will appear in a special issue of the International Journal of Foundations of Computer Science (IJFCS).
